Area Meetings
Members are required to attend at least one meeting per month based on the monthly schedule to be eligible for post season.
Meetings are used to present business items for the area, training sessions, situational developments, guest speakers, elections and a host of other activities take place. It is also a great time to meet and socialize with your fellow officials.
Denver Area 8 has several meeting locations:
- Thomas Jeffeson High School – Denver General Meetings
- Overland High School – Aurora – Area
- Thornton High School -Thornton – Area
- Sheridan High School -Denver – Area
- Parker Lutheran – Denver (Area – Sundays)
- All meetings start at 7:00 pm

- Mon., Nov. 28 General Mtg. 7pm @ TJ HS
- Sun., Dec. 4 Sunday Mtg. 7pm @ Parker Lutheran HS
- Mon., Dec. 12 Area Mtg. 7pm @ Sheridan/Thornton/Overland
Each official is required to attend one of the three meetings listed above.
- Mon., Jan. 16 General Mtg. 7pm @ Parker Lutheran (Other schools are closed for MLK day)
- Sun., Jan. 15 Sunday Mtg. 7pm @ Parker Lutheran HS
- Mon., Jan. 23 Area Mtg. 7pm @ Sheridan/Thornton/Overland
Each official is required to attend one of the three meetings listed above.
- Mon., Feb. 6 General Mtg. 7pm @ TJ Hish School
- Sun., Feb. 12 Sunday Mtg. 1 pm @ Parker Lutheran HS
- Mon., Feb. 13 Area Mtg. 7pm @ Sheridan/Thornton/Overland
Each official is required to attend one of the three meetings listed above.

Floor Mechanics Class (Required)
October 8 & 9 Saturday 9-4 & Sunday 2 to 6pm. Legacy High School both days
Test For Officials Certification:
November 7, Monday at 7 pm – Location TBD
Playoff/Post Season Acceptance!
Be sure and mark your availability for Post Season on your Arbiter Account by January 21th.
Required that you: 1) pass Federation Test by 90% 2) officiate at least 2 sub varsity games 3) 20% or at least 6 girls games 4) make all your meeting requirements 5) have 2 years patched certification 6) attend Master Clinic at least every other year 7)be in good standing with your Area.
Balloting for Post Season February 7-11, 2012

Officials vs Cancer Week
Jan 23-28th 2011
Use the Pink and White whistle to Blow the Whistle on Cancer! All fundraising dollars must be submitted and in the Area Directors hands by February 18th.
Annual Dues, Director Ballots and Banquet RSVP
due by April 15!
Get them in as the price only goes UP after that date! (REMEMBER…Membership runs from January 1 to December 31 each year)
