The Directors of Area 8 are again excited to announce its 3rd annual Area 8 Basketball Referee Development Camp. 

The camp will be held in conjunction with a national tournament the weekend of April 29th, 30th and May 1st located in the Denver Metro area at Westminster High School.

This camp is designed and offered to anyone that is interested in improving their officiating!

The camp is structured for all attendees to receive proper training and education in a variety of officiating areas.  Topics which will be covered and taught in the camp are high school mechanics, game management, communication skills, handling difficult situations and much more. 

To assist in the teaching process, all games will be videotaped and a detailed breakdown with your observer will take place following the game. A copy of the game will be available.

The main objective is to offer something to every official regardless of your level of officiating experience.

A wide variety of guest speakers and area assignors have been invited to attend. The knowledge they bring is priceless. This camp is designed and offered to anyone that is interested in improving their officiating!

WHEN:     April 29, 30 and May 1st, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Area 8 Camp partial scholarships are open to everyone. The other camp scholarships are exclusively for members of Area 8.
