It has been made available the information on officials for the final week of playoffs from the Springs Association. A big congratulations go out to all officials that worked the post season and made 2009-2010 another great season. Be sure and support our area officials where ever they end up working.
Banquet Results!
If you missed it, the 2010 COB4 Banquet was a huge success again thanks to the dedicated committee headed by Mertice Wallace and assisted by Beth Uhlrich. Bob Lantzy reported that our Cancer Campaign was unbeliabley successful with a check being written from COB4 to IAABO for $19,332!!!! Thanks to all who helped make this number happen!
With over 160 people in attendance to see some great awards handed out for all the regions in the state. Our group was well represented with awards being garnered including:

Final Cancer Campaign Results!
Denver Area 8 had a good showing this year with our fund raising cancer campaign. Even if we didn’t meet our goals set by Colorado Board #4, we improved tremendously over the previous years donation though this year with a total for 2010 of
$3065
A big thank you goes out to all the officials that donated time and effort and money to this great cause.

Scholarship Application back up! 14 Scholarships available!!
Scholarship Applications Due Date Extended to April 3rd!!!
Area 8 is administering 14 scholarships!!! 7 scholarships to Area 8 members only (3 to IAABO camp & 4 Open) and 7 state wide scholarships (4 to the Area 8 Camp & 3 to Dave Hall camps). There are several different types of camps for all those members and all different levels interested in improving their skills! Don’t miss this opportunity!!! On the right click on the Scholarship Application under Camps and submit it before March 7.

Help needed for the National Wheelchair Bball Championships
The Gold Crown Field House will be hosting the 2010 Wheelchair Basketball Championships April 7-11. they are looking for help to put on this event in the form of working the table and scorebooks. They have their own certified officials.
For every two games you work you will receive 2 tickets to a Nuggests game!

Officials Vs Cancer 2010
Its your last opportunity to get your donations in for the Cancer campaign. We did get some good press coverage this year and a big thank you goes out to all those officials that worked hard or donated their game fees.

Its that time! Dues, Banquet and Director Ballots…
You should have received in the mail by now your packet for next season.
1. Your Dues need to be paid (postmarked) by March 1st so they aren’t late. After that date you will be assessed another $20 in late fees!!! You must REGISTER online at www.arbitersports.com account #104526. You can pay your dues by e-check in Arbiter (Free!), by credit card for a small charge, or mail in a check.
2. Get your reservation in for the State Awards Banquet being held on March 7th. This is a great time and gives you a chance to meet and socialize with your fellow officials from around the state! Click here to download the form. Banquet Invitation 2010 RSVP’s are due by March 1st with payment of $30 per person, or $35 per person at the door!
3. Voting for your Area and Regional Director! All the platforms were included in the packet for you to make an informed decision. Be sure and have your vote count!

2010 Mentor Program
The Mentor Program is up and running again with a committee that includes Sal Marini (co-chair), Rudy Robinson (co-chair), Nathan Trujillo and Jerome Yancey. The Mentor Committee will work in tandem with the Evaluation Committee, Area and Regional Directors and CHSAA to develop a program that will work in the best interest of both the mentors and mentees. If you have any questions or concerns about the program please contact one of the committee members.
